There’s a New Church on the Block

We think it is time for a new kind of church — actually way past time. We have had Piscean Christian Churches for two millennia now. They have accomplished some good things, some not-so-good, and then some quite horrible things — all in the name of Jesus the Christ. Some of these things persist into the present “advanced” era. Just peruse the news to see how the name of Christ is used as a reason for doing all sorts of things under the sun.

There are many reasons for the spotty, sometimes shabby Christian record up to the present day. Here are a few of the fundamental ones:

• misunderstanding of the Messiah and his mission

• making Jesus the only Son of God instead of an elder son of God

• dividing his essential message into 200 to 40,000 church denominations

• failing to preach the Kingdom in our midst

• teaching little more than faith, prayer, tithing, and church attendance

• ignoring injunctions for all followers to forgive and help heal those in need

We can do better now. It is not too late to recover the best of the past and to prepare in full for a brighter Aquarian Consciousness which is slowly dawning upon us now.

“And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.” Luke 22:10

In our time, the human race is meant to enter the Upper Room (higher consciousness) under direction of the water bearer (Aquarius).

May a new inclusive, benevolent Church rise out of the Dark Ages of ignorance, prejudice, and personality — into the Light of the Christ Principle to simply express as “God is Love.”

We wish to do our part by resurrecting the idea of the Aquarian Church and by adding a few more layers to that package. The first Aquarian Christine Church Universal was founded on the works of Levi Dowling. It had its last presence in Danville, Kentucky, but seems to have dwindled into obscurity or become totally defunct for causes quite unknown.

Mr. Dowling (1844–1911) was a devoted and diligent follower of the Christ, a minister, physician-healer, and writer. His greatest production was The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ: The Philosophic and Practical Basis of the Religion of the Aquarian Age of the World and of the Church Universal, published in 1908. The substance of that book came to him out of his forty-year practice of meditating for four hours during the quiet time after midnight. It was gathered from the Book of God’s Remembrance.

The Gospel gives a much more complete history of Jesus the Christ’s life, including his travels and teachings from age 12 to 30. Most importantly, the Book depicts him as the Elder Son showing the way for his younger kin to approach, receive, and express the God Within.

Dowling had further plans for a community to be built around the Gospel and other teachings devoted particularly to healing. But as with many movements, Dowling’s withered away upon his death. Still, The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ remains to offer information, insight, and inspiration beyond the accepted Canon of Christianity.

With the wonder of digital libraries, many other apocryphal, gnostic, and revelatory documents are accessible to modern seekers of the Way, the Truth and the Life. Our version of The Aquarian Christine Church intends:

First, to present and supplement the exquisite preaching found in The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ.

Secondly, to emphasize teaching concepts of Conscious Living after the Apostle John whose Book of Revelation points towards that possibility.

Thirdly, to offer a large focus dedicated to healing the Body of Christ as demonstrated by millennia ago by followers over the ages.
